The Holburne Museum in Bath, a small, privately funded organisation, that combines a significant permanent collection with a contemporary exhibition and events programme. When they secured funding to work on a new website, they took the opportunity to come to us for some deeper brand thinking and a new brand identity that would allow them to fulfil their future ambitions.

Their branding was not working hard enough to convey what they were about as an organisation and how unique their offer was. Bath is one of the UK’s most heavily tourist-visited, cultural centres, so making their positioning clear amongst the noise of competing organisations, whilst nurturing and growing their local audience was crucial.

Working closely with the director and head of marketing, we have given them a clear creative strategy that celebrates and actively encourages audiences to understand the eclectic, eccentric and unique nature of their offer.  Their new visual language is striking, stylish and contemporary. It gives them a strong  look, feel and voice in the extremely busy cultural world of Bath and beyond, and allows them to express their mission, their programme and their relationship with their audiences clearly, confidently and with a great sense of their innate idiosyncrasy.
